Materials for "Intro to Acrylics"

These are the materials for Acrylics, if you work in Oils click here.

You should bring any materials that you may already have to the first class. You do NOT need all of this material for the first class. You should wait and get just what you need as you progress in the course.

Sketching:	Sketch Book: This can be almost any type of drawing book. A dollar store sketch book or a cheap variety from Wal-mart will be fine. It should be about the size of a normal page of paper. Pencils: You should also have a few drawing pencils. (The softer the better - HB, 2B or 4B would be good). Also a few sticks of soft vine charcoal. Any artist store would have these.
Acrylic paint colours: (10)	Titanium white Yellow Ochre Cadmium Yellow Cadmium Orange Cadmium Red Light Hookers Green Burnt Sienna French Ultramarine Blue Dioxazine Purple Brilliant Yellow Green
Brushes: (7)	Bristle: 3 - Flat Bristle ( #4, #6, and #10) Sable: 1 - Flat Sable ( #4) 1 - Round Sable (#4) 1 - Script liner / Rigger (#2) 1 - Hake brush (Approx 2-1/2")- Hake Brush
Other materials:	- a palette (It should be some form of "stay wet" palette. These are available commercially or can be easily constructed) - a palette knife ( plastic or metal) - A Spray Bottle of clean water - at least 2 canvases (16"x20") - at least 2 small canvases (Dollar store variety) (canvas boards are probably the most economical, however you can use stretched canvas, a pad of canvas paper or primed masonite as well) - a ruler (metric and imperial units) - a good rubber eraser - 2 jars or cans with tight lids for water - some sort of box for your materials (nothing fancy - a plastic tool box works great)- some paper towel
